Tasty, beautiful food always brings a good feeling to human beings. Good company will raise the increasing sense of wellbeing of the meal-time to a still higher level. Laughing, fooling about or deep philosophizing give such an amount of energy that the organizer of the party will always get the compensation of the effort!
The theme or the reason for a party can be taken from anywhere. A Winter party in the garden is far too seldom in the Finnish party selection. Snow construction is close
to my heart. Therefore during the past ten years we have built with varying success a snow wall for winter parties. Snow structures, ice lanterns, lit
candles and a campfire combined with enjoying food will provide an unforgettable background for participants.
For banquets this Winter I fancied some new tastes. So I composed the delicacies shown in the images and I have to state that the experiment was worth it!
Sunroot soup (sunroots from my own vegeteble carden) with crushed cold smoked reindeer, cheese pieces and croutons. Smoked deer with apple horseradish crème. We picked up deer meat from Viltgården, in Inkoo.
Legs of red king crab I was able to get from Crab king Jonas Karlsson! Magnificent service from Turku!
Lobster thermidor (gratinated) á la James Price. Chocolate cake and douple espresso, yum!
